How do we set up Our Own Recording Studio?

Setting up a Home Recording studio is not a joke, its expensive. So here are some effective tips on how to set up your own which wont cos that much. A Personal Computer is really important for this set up, minimum requirement are the following;

PC Specifications: 512MB Video Card or higher (Recommended), 8GIG Hard Drive or higher, 512MB RAM or higher, Pentium 3 Processor or AMD Celeron or higher. After setting up your PC, some PC equipments are required: Equipments: Head Set or Head Phones, PC Microphone, PC Speakers.

After gathering the PC and equipments, it's time to get your Recording Software. If you have a low budget, I recommend that you download Acoustica Mixcraft 2,3 or 4. It is the best Audio Recorder and it is user friendly. Downloading the free version will give you around a week to try it out and learn how to use it. When you have learned to use it, it's time to purchase the registered version. You may think it won't be effective as expensive set ups, but there is a secret on how to obtain the same quality. While recording, have at least 1 foot distance from the microphone. You can buy an additional protection for the microphone but I recommend not to.

Having a soundproofed room will be expensive, but there are ways you could set up your own soundproof room. Egg crates are an example, but if you can find egg crates, I suggest keeping all sides of the room flat. What I mean by that, the room should not have a closet cabinet, etc. The room should be evenly squared. In that way, there will be a big difference in your recording. In your software set up, Acoustica Mixcraft is the only software needed. There will be certain effects provided there that will have the same quality as studio quality of recording. It will depend on your taste as to how will you like your song to sound like.

Another set up you can apply, is having a double voice over. Instead of recording a single voice record it twice, it would have a bouncing effect the same with the Studio Recording. The double voice over recording applies when you cant provide a sound proof area. The quality will not be as perfect as a Studio Recording, but it will be close to it. The efficiency of this set up gives you good quality and less expenses, this is a very economical way of setting up your own Home Recording Studio.

Another "pro-tip" i could share is to upgrade your video card to 1GIG, having a 1GIG video card will give you a clearer recording for you. Just in case you cannot reach the specified specifications, it's advisable to close as many applications in your desktop and leave Acoustica Mixcraft as your only application running. In this way, you will avoid delays in your recording.

Asul De Pamilya (History)

How Did Asul De Pamilya Start?

Asul De Pamilya is a merged Group between Asul De Pamilya (ADP) and C-Rhyme. ADP was officially established July 27, 2008. Screening nor Application was not really necessary, our group had several member whose passion is writing lyrics and spitting it on the mic.

Members Consist of:
Kzee, Kwak-C, Rhadeekal, Ghetto Prince, Erra, Raccet and Skye

Equipments we use for recording are really simple yet effective. We do not have our own studio like other recording groups, it is only pure Home Recording. Asul De Pamilya, meaning "The Blue Family", has been in the Music industry for almost 4 years now. But the new and revised "Asul De Pamilya" has been in the Music Industry has only been in action for 9 months (as of April 19, 2009).

Our First Show (gig) was Performed in San Fernando, La Union. We were invited by local artists of La Union**(Pictures and more info will be posted soon)**. It was unexpected that we would continue our progress in creating a different kind of music for the Filipino people (specially Baguio City). But as time passed by, we noticed that many people appreciated our Music. This is the main reason why Asul De Pamilya is still here and continuing to entertain people.
